The Wizard of Oz opens at the London Palladium in February 2011. Staged by the same creative team that did the adaptation of the Sound of Music at the same venue earlier this year, it promises to be an enchanting transformation of the classic movie.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz the very much loved and award winning songs from the movie and these, together with the well-known characters and great scenes add extra colour to this great upcoming musical.
Working together again after thirty years, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber also created new songs for this stage adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. They selected the likes of Danielle Hope to play the part of Dorothy and Michael Crawford to play the wizard himself.
In The Wizard of Oz you can click your heels together and join Scarecrow, in Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and get what their heart desires.
You will also have to watch out for the wicked witch of the West and her monkeys with wings as you experience the real story of Oz in the fantastic stage adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.
